Jeep Wrangler Freedom Edition 2012

Jeep Wrangler Freedom Edition, 2012
More than 70 years ago, the U.S. government informed automakers that it was looking for a "light reconnaissance vehicle" for military use. Willys-Overland quickly created the Willys Quad - which became the Willys MA and MB - but the Army, and the world, came to know the vehicle that would help win a world war as the Jeep.
As a tribute to U.S. military members past and present, the Jeep brand has created the new 2012 Jeep Wrangler Freedom edition. Available in red, white or blue, the new Jeep Wrangler Freedom edition features a military-inspired star decal on the hood and rear quarter panels, along with an "Oscar Mike" (military jargon for "on the move") fender badge.
Jeep will donate $250 from each Wrangler Freedom Edition it sells to charities that benefit U.S. military members. Specifically, funds will be split between the Fisher House Foundation and the I Support Foundation. Fisher House Foundation provides a "home away from home" for military families to be close to a loved one during hospitalization for an illness, disease or injury, while the I Support Foundation provides resources to troops returning home - such as jobs and various healthcare needs - and issues grants to 40 charities that provide valuable services to U.S. veterans.
The Chrysler Group LLC also offers a $500 cash allowance to military members that may be applied toward the retail purchase or lease of an eligible Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram Truck or FIAT vehicle. Eligible consumers include active military, active military reserve, retired military (honorable discharge and 20 years of service required), and retired military reserve (honorable discharge and 20 years of service required).
The new limited-edition 2012 Jeep Wrangler Freedom model is based on the best-selling Sport model, and is available as a two-door Wrangler or four-door Wrangler Unlimited model. It is offered in three colors only: Deep Cherry Red, Bright White, and new True Blue that for 2012 is exclusive to the Wrangler Freedom edition model.
Jeep Wrangler Freedom edition exterior features include unique Mineral Gray-painted 17-inch alloy wheels borrowed from the Wrangler Rubicon, Mineral Gray-painted grille and front and rear bumper inserts, body-color wheel arches and side steps, prominent "Oscar Mike" star-in-circle fender badges and decals on the hood and rear quarter panels, black sidesteps with matching black tail lamp guards and a Mopar fuel fill door, and a Sunrider soft top with deep-tint rear windows.
Interior treatments on the new 2012 Jeep Wrangler Freedom edition include black seats with rugged tectonic fabric, an "Oscar Mike" logo embroidered on the seat backs in silver stitching, French Silver accent stitching on the steering wheel, doors, seats and front arm rest, and "Quick Silver" accents on the front passenger grab handle, door pulls and dash vent rings. Finishing touches include Satin Chrome spokes on the leather-wrapped steering wheel and Mopar Slush Mats.
Another standard features include power windows and locks, remote keyless entry, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls, and UConnect® voice command and connectivity group.
The 2012 Jeep Wrangler Freedom edition is available in Jeep showrooms at a Manufacturers Suggested Retail price of $28,165 for Wrangler two-door models and $30,670 for Wrangler Unlimited four-door models.

Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 10th Anniversary 2013
- Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 10th Anniversary, 2013
As a two-door Wrangler or four-door Wrangler Unlimited, the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 10th Anniversary Edition is the most capable Wrangler ever produced. Based on the Rubicon model, it is available with a standard six-speed manual or available five-speed automatic transmission mated to a Pentastar 3.6-liter V-6 engine producing 285 horsepower and 260 ft.-lbs. of torque. The Jeep part-time four-wheel-drive system has electronic-locking front and rear Dana 44 axles that receive power through a Rock-Trac transfer case with a "4-Low" ratio of 4:1. A 4.10 axle ratio front and rear is also standard as are Tru-Lok locking differentials. With a six-speed manual transmission, the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 10th Anniversary Edition has an impressive crawl ratio of 73.1:1 that makes it a breeze to negotiate any obstacle.
The Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 10th Anniversary Edition has many exclusive features that make it distinctive, as well as the most off-road capable Wrangler in history. A one-half inch increase in ride height versus the standard Rubicon model provides the BF Goodrich KM2 265/70R17 tires more room to claw at rugged terrain. The tires are mounted on 17-inch Rubicon aluminum wheels painted satin black with polished faces and a red Jeep Wrangler "icon" logo on the outside lip.
Black front and rear steel off-road bumpers toughen up the exterior, with the front bumper featuring removable end caps and a winch-capable design. These removable end caps help the Wrangler climb obstacles without hindrance, and reduce the damage potential to the bumper system. A dual-intake Power Dome hood helps aid in engine cooling and gives Wrangler a more menacing appearance. Red tow hooks adorn the front and rear, and Mopar rock rails give added protection from trail damage. Mopar also supplies the black fuel filler door and tail lamp guards. "10th Anniversary" badging on the fenders and a red-silhouette "Rubicon" decal on the sides of the hood add the finishing touches on the exterior.
The Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 10th Anniversary Edition comes standard with a Premium Sunrider soft top and is available with a black three-piece Freedom hard top or body-color hard top. Available exterior colors for the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 10th Anniversary Edition are Billet Silver, White and 10th Anniversary Edition-exclusive Anvil.
The interior has many special touches as well. Striking red leather seats with "Rubicon 10th Anniversary" embroidered into the front seat backs grab attention at first glance. Red stitching adorns the leather-wrapped steering wheel and the center console. A unique gauge cluster features a "10th Anniversary" signature and also features a premium Electronic Vehicle Information Center (EVIC) with various read-outs such as oil pressure, oil temperature and tire pressure. The passenger grab handle includes a "Rubicon 10th Anniversary" badge and features Quick Silver accents that are also found on the vent rings, steering wheel spokes and door pulls.
The final design touches include Mopar slush mats, unique axle locker and sway-bar disconnect switches and a plaque mounted in the dash tray that features the vehicles technical data, such as axle type and ratio, tire size, transfer case crawl ratio and manufacturer location.

2011 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Overview
Jeep has just released images of its 2011 Jeep Wrangler Sahara, which will receive something of a makeover for the new model year – particularly to its interior. The rugged Wrangler boasts a completely new interior for its 2011 Jeep Wrangler Sahara model year, designed to be considerably more upscale than interiors in previous Wranglers. In this 2011 Jeep Wrangler Sahara 4 door, gone is Jeep’s old four-spoke steering wheel borrowed from the Chrysler PT Cruiser, replaced instead by a simple three-spoke design with available steering wheel audio controls from Jeep’s Grand Cherokee.

Old rotary climate control dials have been upgraded to newer, more stylish units, and the entire center console has been redesigned to provide a look that’s less utility and more style, with some curves added to the once-linear design of this new 2011 Jeep Wrangler Sahara. Interior door panels were also reshaped to provide more supportive armrests and a more elegant look to the cabin of the 2011 Jeep Wrangler Sahara.
None of the changes to the 2011 Jeep Wrangler Sahara (also in other variants of the new 2011 Jeep Wrangler’s model year) involve its capability, on- or off-road. The 2011 Jeep Wrangler Sahara is returning unchanged with its 3.8-liter V-6 with 202 horsepower and 237 pound-feet of torque, backed by either a six-speed manual or four-speed automatic. Both it and the four-door 2011 Wrangler Unlimited are available with both transmissions. Jeep fans will note that the brand’s console-mounted window switches remain positioned between the air-conditioning vents on the dash of 2011 Jeep Wrangler Sahara. Also unchanged in the new 2011 Jeep Wrangler Sahara are the four-wheel drive selector, and the gear selector, both still positioned in the center console. On the exterior, the Wrangler’s biggest update for 2011 Jeep Wrangler Sahara comes in the form of a body-colored hardtop – but only for the upscale Sahara models. Previously, the Wrangler’s hardtop had been dark gray plastic, which remains the top’s color on lower-end models. Other changes to the 2011 Jeep Wrangler Sahara colors are minor and include five new colors: Detonator Yellow, Deep Cherry Red, Sahara Tan, Cosmos Blue, and Bright White.
The 2011 Jeep Wrangler Sahara is also surprisingly fun to drive around the city. Although certainly tippy through turns and short on grip, the 2011 Jeep Wrangler Sahara provides a commendable amount of feedback through its wheel. The biggest dynamic downfall of the 2011 Jeep Wrangler Sahara is its thirsty V6, which is gutless both on the highway and when trying to accelerate quickly. Excessive wind and road noise are two additional drawbacks for highway use. If you’re interested with this car, for your info, the 2011 Jeep Wrangler Sahara price will be started from $26,178.
