Edgy, distinctive and loved – so the fans know the Mercedes G-Class, whose distinctive shape remained virtually unchanged since 1979. How do the genes of offroad style icon could prevail in the future, Mercedes-Benz showed the new design study “Ener-G-Force”. What’s in the future definitely: the amazing drive with recycled water.
The Mercedes Ener-G-Force is based on the design of a futuristic police cars for the Los Angeles Design Challenge 2012, which examined the “Highway Patrol Vehicle 2025″. The creators liked the concept so much that they developed from it a civilian variant 1:1 and presented to the wheels. The model of the Mercedes Ener-G-Force is based on the distinctive G-Class, however, shows a radical reinterpretation of this classic. Important genes such proportions and elements designed the makers completely new and modern in a clean design for the future. The Mercedes Ener-G-Force shows a similar silhouette as the current “G”, but with a high shoulder line and smaller windows. It was indeed the clear design of the G-Class, but the surfaces have been intensively shaped and full of tension. The meticulously designed details clearly indicate that the Mercedes Ener-G-Force is the child of a modern time.
As the G-Class, the Mercedes Ener-G-Force also contributes with a front grille and expressive headlamps included. LEDs in the headlamps, meanwhile, form G-shaped light units. The front turn signals put the makers as a significant element of the G-Class as position lights on the front fenders. Integrated into the roof flashing lights also create immense attention.

G Oil In my Hyundai Accent
For those of you new to the blog Im a big proponent of bio-based fuels and lubricants. In my previous car I used 5w-30 G-Oil to great success, but I couldnt find the 5W-20 weight of this bio-based motor oil until now. Thanks to Revolution Bio-Based Lubricant LLC I was able to purchase the proper weight of oil for my 2012 Hyundai Accent.
Products like these are very important to me. They allow me to cut out at least a portion of my petroleum usage and replace it with a renewable product that is american made. This product used natural base stocks taken from unused animal fats and mixed with a non-petroleum synthetic additive package. I drive a lot and use more oil than the average driver. This is one way I decrease my usage of petroleum.
G-Oil offers four types of motor oil a U.S. sources conventional motor oil, a synthetic blend, a full traditional synthetic and a bio based full synthetic. The top of the line bio-based synthetic goes for $28.10 for a 5.1 quart jug.
Another awesome feature about G-Oil is that is it non-toxic and biodegradable. This means I dont have to worry as much about it touching my skin or feel as bad when I accidently spill some during an oil change. Since I am a do-it-yourselfer and I dont want to constantly handle a carcinogenic substance all the time. Especially when I will probably do hundreds of oil changes in my life.
Finally the oil is API SN, SM and SL certified as well as holding an ILSAC GF-5 certification. What does this mean for someone who doesnt know what these standards mean? Most cars require an API certified motor oil. Use of non-certified oils might put your cars warranty at risk. Luckily for consumers like me who are still in warranty this oil has that certification. The engine oil is tested to the same standards as current generation petroleum and synthetic motor oil.
This certainly isnt an advertisement for this product. For someone like me who is looking to reduce his petroleum dependence this is an awesome product. If youre worried that this could harm your engine or will void your warranty then simply dont use it. I will also do my best to have this oil analyzed to make sure everything is working correctly with my engine. I certainly understand the trepidation felt by many car owners to use a product such as this. G Oil Im Sold
Four thousand miles ago I decided to try a product I had seen in a local Wal-Mart that just really played to my internal Greenie. This product is sold by a Green Earth Tecnologies (getg.com) and it is a a full synthetic motor oil that uses animal fats to create an ester based motor oil. Currently the only grades available are a standard and a Race Spec full synthetic 5w-30.
At first I was quite skeptical as many other online sources were but in my pursuit of reducing how many barrels of oil my daily driver consumes I decided that G-Oil was worth a try. At $26.00 at local Wal-Marts it is competively priced with all other full synthetic motor oils and from what I have experienced performs just as well as the Mobil 1 I have been putting in my car for years.
One of the issues with G-Oil currently is the fact that it only comes in a grade of 5w-30 but if the company can be succesful in sales I believe that more grades will become available. Personally I would like to see a 5w-20,5w-30 5w-40 diesel oil and a 10w-30 and 10w-40 for older vehicles. This would make them highly competitive with other full synthetic manufacturers in terms of the products available to consumers.
G-Oil is also the official motor oil of the American Le Mans series and even sponsors Dyson racing who is a environmentally focused race group who use Isobutonal (a type of high octane alchohol) as well as a specially designed form of G-Oil for racing purposes. This in itself shows that this company is serious to win over hardcore motoring enthusiasts as well as daily drivers who want the most from their engines.
This oil has been perfect for a person like me who loves driving but at the same time I want to be an environmentally friendly within my current budget. I cant really afford to buy a more fuel efficient or less emitting car currently but anything I can do to make my current vehicle (2001 Volkswagen Jetta GL 2.0L) greener without sacrificing the performance of the engine is a perfect product for me. I would like to see G-Oil and Green Earth Technology to continue to offer responsible and green products to a market that more and more cares about how they are treating the planet when it comes to transportation.
