What state has the shortest coastline of any in the US? That would be New Hampshire, with a tiny 13 mile strip of exposure to the Atlantic Ocean to call its own. On a picture perfect summer evening, we snaked our way from cheesy Hampton, boasting gorgeous beaches and surf  (think New Jersey Shore, but its in New England) to our digs in Portsmouth, a chic small city which many affectionately call a Boston in miniature. I might disagree, as I find Portsmouth has a character unique to itself. Shes an old port city loaded with charm and charisma.

But I digress. Our car for the trip was an Infiniti G37S four door, bestowed with a six-speed manual. On our trip back to Portsmouth, ocean on our right, with mansions costing millions of dollars on our left, the sights were breathtaking. With windows down, and sunroof open, the music of Jimmy Buffet lecting our relaxed demeanor, the Infiniti proved to be a fantastic end of summer vacation car.

Yet, soon our road diverged from the coast, where we came upon Brit Bits, a seller and restorer of British cars in Rye, New Hampshire. If I see a row of British sports cars, I must stop, and I did. What a treasure trove of Brit cars. Plenty of MGBs, Midgets (one had a hardtop with portholes, ala T-Bird), a well worn Jag E-Type, a Morris Minor my wife was smitten with, in addition to other beloved cars in various states of repair. Audi continues to remain on top for a premium car manufacturer. German manufacturer launched a sub-compact A1 quattro, which mentioned a car with surprising performance.


Unfortunately, the Audi A1 quattro is still limited only to the UK market. Audi A1 quattro has not assemble with right rudder. Manufacturers with the four rings emblem will bring 20 units to the UK, from a total of 333 units produced.

As reported by Autocar, Wednesday (01/25/2012), Audi already received several orders for the A1 quattro variants of this. It is expected that 20 units can be supplied in demand until the end of this year.

Audi A1 quattro uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder. This capacity provides 256 horsepower at 6,000 rpm engine speed and peak torque of 350 Nm (258.2 pounds-ft) between 2,500 and 4,500 rpm.


The car uses a six-speed manual gearbox to send power to the quattro All Wheel Drive system. A1 quattro is able to accelerate 0-62 mph (0-100 km / h) in just 5.7 seconds. The highest speed can penetrate 152 mph (245 km / h).
