2012 Seat Ibiza ST

The Spanish automaker Seat will unveil the third variant of the fun loving Ibiza lineup at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show in March. The slightly longer Ibiza ST will fill the gap created by those consumers looking for a little extra space to store their junk in the trunk when it goes on sale early this summer.
The Seat Ibiza ST measures in at 18 cm longer than the standard hatchback version, for a total length of 4.23 meters, and can hold up to 430 Liters worth of goods in the wagon like five door estate. This also means that the Ibiza ST’s interior is impressively spacious, with an accomplished and high quality character. The new model will be offered with a choice of six 21st century power plant variations including a trio of gas burning as well as three TDI units producing between 70 HP and a very economical 105 HP.

The stylists at SEAT Design have taken the highly functional concept of the Ibiza ST and clad it in the Spanish brand’s unique design language. Despite the estate layout and generous load capacity, it retains the youthful, sporty character of the Ibiza range. The roofline stretches rearwards, the rear overhang is integrated perfectly into the overall design and the tight span of its flanks lends tautness to its proportions. The front end bears the hallmark SEAT “arrow design”; with the rear end receiving a new look courtesy of the split rear light clusters. source:www.topspeed.com

2012 Seat Leon Cupra R

Just weeks after SEAT launched its most economical Leon to date in the shape of the latest Ecomotive the stylish Spanish brand is teeing up the showroom debut of its most potent Leon yet: the awesome Cupra R.
While the green-themed new Ecomotive with its road tax-busting CO2 rating of just 99g/km is all about economy and environmental responsibility the 265 PS Cupra R is, undeniably, aimed at ultra-hot hatch enthusiasts with high octane fuel coursing through their veins.

The new Seat León Cupra R is based on the spectacular design of the existing Cupra, with subtle additions both inside and out.
The exclusive nature of Seats new model is most easily identified via the distinctive letter R thats subtly placed on the central grille and at the lower right of the hatch, the right instrument dial and the remote control key. The exclusive Cupra logo graces the front bumper on the lower left, the centre of the hatch, the steering wheel and the seat backrests.
Further distinctive detailing on the Seat León Cupra R that underlines its racing spirit, besides the spectacular 19 inch wheels are the trademark glossy black door mirrors. The wheel assembly also enables a set of exceptionally generous 345 x 30 mm front disc brakes with 286 x 12 mm at the rear; vital given the need for greater braking capacity in a car that harnesses 265 hp.
The interior features eye-catching competition styled bucket seats in a combination of grey cloth and alcantara upholstery, white LED lighting on the instrument dials, a leather multi-functional steering wheel and aluminium-clad pedals. Black prevails in the sporty passenger compartment, and the view from the drivers seat is designed to minimise distractions with the roof lining, sun visors, door handles and A pillars all clad exclusively in black. source:www.netcarshow.com
