Kleemann GTK Concept Review

In 2004, Kleemann made ambitious plans to create a unique and exclusive KLEEMANN sportscars. Now, after three years of design and development, KLEEMANN bring their vast technology know-how and experience to the next level by introducing the GTK concept car.
Project design
Kleemann, best known for their long experience in the technology and exclusive styling products for Mercedes-Benz Kompressor, now entering the field exclusive sports car manufacturers. This is possible when KLEEMANN employed internationally experienced car designer Christian Brandt. Christian led the top secret project design GTK, which is not only a sports car project, but also a platform for the design and development of technologies for future performance and style KLEEMANN solutions for Mercedes-Benz.
Solution KLEEMANN style is always designed with respect to style, powerful and exclusive Mercedes-Benz. To go to the next level Kleemann design, we feel that we need to make a complete car. Designing a complete car enables us to create solutions for Mercedes-Benz style at far greater than we did by creating enhancements for production cars, says Christian Brandt.
GTK design project has been a great source of inspiration for KLEEMANN products current and future. Wheels GTK has inspired the TS-7 wheel with a new one-piece unique direction, and the GTK design elements similar to the style of the current solutions for KLEEMANN S-Class and CLS-Class. The project design is currently scheduled to launch next 6-12 months for new Mercedes-Benz models will feature significant shapes and details of the design of GTK. As all other KLEEMANN style solution, based on the GTK design KLEEMANN design code of elegance and simplicity of Nordic design traditions recognize simple and organic shapes. Positive feedback from the market during the last two years confirms us in the belief that the KLEEMANN design direction we set in 2004 is reasonable and appealing to the international market, Christian Brandt concludes.
Sohisticated and reliable technology

KLEEMANN GTK features carbon fiber body panels and many existing products KLEEMANN high performance, such as Kompressor system, alloy wheels, brakes, etc. These new products are developed and tested since 2005 in a Mercedes-Benz SLK 55 AMG and the GTK is structurally based on the SLK.
When we choose to base the GTK on the Mercedes-Benz SLK AMG 55, we want to offer exclusive sports car designed with reliability integrated into everyday life safety and comfort of the Mercedes-Benz. In this way we can focus on developing specific elements making the car design and performance unique for KLEEMANN, says technical director Claus Ankjaer.
In the creation of the GTK we faced several new challenges, and the experience we gained from solving these challenges, we can develop and manufacture solutions for even more advanced performance and reliability for current and future Mercedes-Benz car models, Claus concludes.

Unique performance

With a naturally aspirated engine SLK 55 AMG is equipped with a complete KLEEMANN Kompressor, GTK offers a 540 HP of power and 700 Nm of torque. This power is transferred to the road with a 7-speed automatic gearbox, limited slip differential and ultra low profile Toyo T1-R 20 tires KLEEMANN wheels "KLEEMANN designed specifically for the GTK, giving the driver maximum performance and control on the road.
Be safe, reliable and used everyday sports car reflects the Comfort Power slogan of Kleemann, and set it apart from many other high sports car races.
Raw performance data for the GTK places it in front of the competition: The 0-100 km / h acceleration is done only in 3.7 seconds and the GTK continues the brutal acceleration up to maximum speed is electronically limited 300 km / h. High-performance KLEEMANN brake system with 380 mm . Ventilated discs with 8 piston aluminum calipers front and 345 mm fixed. Ventilated discs with 4-piston rear aluminum fixed calipers ensure fast and safe from all the braking power of speed.
