Lincoln MKZ 2013 There is Something For Everyone

This is the last Motor Show in Detroit we saw this big sedan for the first time. And the production model in 2013 that we see today is almost identical to the concept that the luxury division of Ford introduced last January. According to the director of Lincoln Design, we wanted to combine elegance and simplicity when we designed the Lincoln MKZ 2013. It is luxurious but wanted different luxury cars that we know in America. We also wanted the relatively affordable.

Three versions of the MKZ are available on the North American market: EcoBoost (2WD and 4WD) V6 (2WD and 4WD) and hybrid. The EcoBoost model is powered by a turbocharged 2-liter dual overhead cam head that develops 240 horsepower and torque of 270 lb-ft. It comes standard with traction and offers all-wheel drive as an option. The gearbox is a 6-speed automatic with paddle shifters behind the wheel.

Finally, the Lincoln MKZ 2013 is also offered in hybrid. This engine consists of a 4-cylinder engine 2 liter Atkinson-cycle whose power reaches 141 horsepower and an electric motor. The combined power of both engines amounted to 188 horses. In this case, however, we are dealing with a gearbox continuously variable.

Outside, Lincoln revised aerodynamics of its Lincoln MKZ 2013 to make it more effective. While it retains the distinctive elements of the brand, one feels more modern than the model it replaces. The headlights now use LEDs and rotate the side where the driver turns to improve night visibility. The rear lights are also benefiting from LEDs.

The interior of the car is quite inviting due to its ergonomics, small details and quality materials found there. The dashboard has been completely revised and is in harmony with the exterior design of the car. The watchword in the cockpit, it is technology. Was replaced by a speed selector set of five buttons. Regarding equipment, there is no lack of anything really. The Lincoln MKZ 2013 is the only sedan in its class to offer inflatable seat belts in the rear.

The Lincoln MKZ 2013 offers a driving experience for the price we demand. And if you want both luxury and fuel economy of a compact, the Lincoln MKZ 2013 is for you. The new Lincoln MKZ 2013 will be marketed at the end of the year 2012 and is the first of four vehicles that the manufacturer intends to market in the coming years.
